Πρακτική εκπαίδευση στο Museum of Modern Arts με την υποστήριξη του Ιδρύματος Σταύρος Νιάρχος / Λήξη προθεσμίας 23 Μαΐου 2014 (14/05/2014)

With the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, The Museum of Modern Artis currently accepting applications for two interns to join our 12-Month Internship Program for 2014-2015.  The internship duration is September 8, 2014 through September 4, 2015.  The two internships are listed below:  

Community and Access Programs Internship, Department of Education 

Department of Film Internship

 

Description:

The Museum of Modern Artʼs 12-Month InternshipProgram provides participants practical and theoretical training in museum practices and acquaints them with the role of museums in contemporary society.  Working under the supervision of one of the Museum's professional staff, interns contribute to timely projects, gain insight into the functions of individual departments, and learn about the Museum's various collections, exhibitions, and programs for visitors.  Internship projects are based on Museum needs and requirements and are assigned to interns with the appropriate skills and interests.  This is a full time internship; the hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30a.m.-5:30p.m.

 

Eligibility:

Recent graduates of bachelorʼs or masterʼsdegree programs.  The Museum is committed to providing opportunities for international students and emerging professionals to learn about the practices and organizational systems of an American museum. To this end, applicants for these two 12-month internships must be Greek nationals.

 

Salary/Stipend:

$22,000 for the 12-month duration (this is subject to applicable taxes), plus standard Museum health benefits, two weeks paid vacation, and an additional $1,500 to cover travel expenses and registration fees for an approved professional conference or related professional development activity.

 

Work Visa:

If you are accepted into the program, the Museum will use its best efforts to assist you in obtaining a J-1 visa for the length of the internship.  The Museum is an approved host organization for the J-1 visa in the intern and trainee categories.
