Η ομάδα του διεθνούς ερευνητικού προγράμματος “Μαθαίνοντας από την documenta” έχει την τιμή να σας προσκαλέσει στην εναρκτήρια εκδήλωσή του την Πέμπτη 2 Ιουνίου 2016 και ώρα 17:00 - 22:00 που θα γίνει στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο.

Θα μιλήσουν οι καθηγητές George Marcus (University of California, Irvine), Arnd Schneider (University of Oslo) και Δρ. Christopher Wright (Goldsmiths University of London) με θέμα “Ανθρωπολογία και Τέχνη”.

Ο Adam Szymczyk Καλλιτεχνικός Διευθυντής, documenta 14, θα παρουσιάσει το σκεπτικό της documenta 14 “Learning from Athens (τίτλος εργασίας)”.

Οι συντονίστριες του προγράμματος επίκουρη καθηγήτρια Ελεάνα Γιαλούρη (Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο) και Δρ. Ελπίδα Ρίκου (ΑΣΚΤ, TWIXTlab) θα παρουσιάσουν το εγχείρημα, το οποίο στοχεύει στην κριτική παρατήρηση και συζήτηση όψεων της παρουσίας της documenta στην Αθήνα με παράλληλες αναφορές στα καλλιτεχνικά, οικονομικά και κοινωνικοπολιτικά τεκταινόμενα στην Ελλάδα και διεθνώς.

Την εκδήλωση θα χαιρετίσουν οι Πρυτανικές Aρχές του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου και η Πρόεδρος του Τμήματος Κοινωνικής Ανθρωπολογίας αναπληρώτρια καθηγήτρια Αθηνά Αθανασίου.

Οι ομιλίες θα γίνουν στα αγγλικά.

Στην συνάντηση θα παρουσιαστεί η υποτροφία και θα προβληθεί υλικό κατατεθέντων φακέλων υποψηφίων που έχουν λάβει υποτροφία στο παρελθόν και θα ακολουθήσει συζήτηση με τους ενδιαφερόμενους.

Η υποτροφία χορηγεί  12.000 € για σπουδές διάρκειας ενός έτος σε πτυχιούχο του Τμήματος Εικαστικών Τεχνών της ΑΣΚΤ  και πραγματοποιείται για 5η συνεχή χρονιά (διεξαγωγή υποτροφίας και επιμέλεια έκθεσης: Γραφείο Διασύνδεσης).

Από το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2016-2017,  πρόκειται να δοθεί χρηματική επιβράβευση στον δεύτερο και τρίτο επιλεχθέντα υποψήφιο, 2000€ και 1000€ αντίστοιχα.

Στην συνάντηση θα συμμετάσχουν οι πρυτανικές αρχές της ΑΣΚΤ καθώς και εκπρόσωποι της ΜΟΤΟΡ ΟΪΛ.

Three 12-Month Internships supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation

As a sponsor of the J-1 visa program, the Museum is committed to providing opportunities for international students and emerging professionals to learn about the practices and organizational systems of an American museum. To this end, with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, MoMA is accepting applications for three 12-month internships for Greek nationals. Details are listed below.

ELIGIBILITY

Recent graduates of bachelor’s or master’s degree programs. The Museum encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines to apply. International candidates are eligible to apply.

STIPEND

$29,000 stipend (gross), subject to applicable tax withholdings. Health benefits, two weeks paid vacation, and an additional $2,000 to cover travel expenses for an approved research trip related to the intern’s field of interest.

Department of Painting and Sculpture Internship

September 12, 2016–September 8, 2017

Description: The intern will work across this curatorial department, assisting with a wide range of projects, from researching works in the Museum’s collection to helping to organize upcoming exhibitions. The intern will perform general administrative tasks for the department and may also participate in facilitating the acquisitions process and in the planning of gallery changes.

Requirements: The ideal candidate has a demonstrated interest in curatorial practice. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize are essential. Strong research skills are a plus. Background in art history with coursework in modern art preferred. Foreign language fluency a plus.

Office of the Director Internship

September 12, 2016–September 8, 2017

Description: The intern performs general administrative duties, which include routing phone and email traffic. Supports Director, Chief of Staff, and Assistant to the Director. Answers phone calls, drafts correspondence, maintains file system, and opens and sorts all mail. Responds to general inquiries on behalf of the department, ensuring communication is accurate, timely, and consistent with other Museum initiatives. Maintains general organization of office in accordance with records management policies. Serves as a first point to contact and liaison for all Director’s Office contacts, including MoMA and MoMA PS1 trustees, staff, artists, scholars, dealers, and art world professionals.

Requirements: Organized, articulate, and professional. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other standard office procedures and equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be extremely detail oriented, work well under pressure, and have the ability to multitask. Ability to maintain composure in a sometimes stressful environment is a must. High level of diplomacy, judgment, and accountability.

Research and Development Internship

September 12, 2016–September 8, 2017

Description: The intern will assist the Director of Research and Development, Paola Antonelli, in all areas. He/she will perform administrative and research tasks in the context of R&D functions: coordinates the interaction with other museum departments and committees; researches topics, companies, individuals, and technologies of immediate and long-term relevance to R&D and to the Museum; keeps track of pertinent topics in publications, blogs, and social networks; prepares mailings and briefings for selected MoMA staff; and maintains a site for the R&D Department. The intern will coordinate a group of R&D advisors and organize meetings of various scale and kind, from one-on-one interviews to private salons and public symposia. He/she will act as a liaison with other areas of the Museum, such as curatorial departments, Digital Media and IT, Marketing and Communications, Development, Membership, Retail, and the offices of the COO, the Senior Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs, and the CFO.

Requirements: Academic background in communication, journalism, design criticism, or a similarly composed curriculum that combines innovation, communication, and design. Knowledgeable and self-assured in using contemporary media. Technologically up to date and conversant with design, especially interfaces and interaction. Excellent writing, communication, research, and organizational skills. Highly motivated with attention to detail. Computer and mobile skills (Google Docs, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Keynote, Twitter, basic Photoshop, and InDesign). Enthusiasm for working with a team and ability to manage multiple projects. Two years of experience in coordinating projects such as conferences or symposia preferred.
