Ζητούνται φοιτητές για σχεδιασμό σκίτσων σε συνέδριο της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (DG Education and Culture Unit for International Cooperation and Programmes) (19/12/2013)

Wanted:  Good art students to sketch ideas and discussions

We are interested in capturing the discussions and presentations of a conference in a visual form.  To this end we would like to enlist the help of 5-6 art students who would be available to draw sketches of what they hear, understand and the topics most important to the audience.  The European Commission will provide a small honorarium for this work but it should not be the motivating force for volunteers.

If you are interested to take part and offer your time and talent please contact Helene Skikos from DG Education and Culture directly at:  Helene.Skikos@ec.europa.eu  by Friday 3 January.

Background Information:

In the context of the Western Balkans Platform on Education and Training[1], a regional conference is organised by the European Commission in Athens on 17-18 January 2014. The objective of this conference is to present the cooperation opportunities in the new Erasmus+ programme to the region focusing primarily on the international dimension of Erasmus+ and the following actions:

•             Action 2: Capacity building projects and cooperation in higher education aiming at the modernisation of institutions and systems

•             Action 1: Mobility for higher education staff and students; both in terms of credit mobility and degree mobility (scholarship for Joint Master Course and European Joint Doctorates)

·                     eTwinning platform and virtual cooperation among classrooms in Western Balkans and EU member States.

Approximately 250 participants will be invited over the two-days who will be stakeholders in higher education, schools and youth work.  In addition to the above, relevant stakeholders from Greece will also be invited.

The conference will be split into three sections and students can decide on which session/day they would like to participate:

·         17 Jan; whole day will be dedicate to higher education cooperation opportunities for institutions and individuals

·         18 Jan; morning will be dedicated to cooperation opportunities for schools and teachers and in the virtually unlimited possibilities for participation in eTwinning projects

·         18 Jan; afternoon will focus on support to youth, youth organisation and workers and to informal and non-formal learning.
